Why is a session web page displaying “UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS”?

This is due to the session being marked as Private.  You cannot view a private session online using the link in the New Session Published email. When you make a session private, you can only view it online by logging into Meeting Management portal, Private Media portal, via the AV Capture desktop app, or using a web URL which includes an access token (which expires after 24 hours).

Steps to share a private session using the URL

via AV Capture:

  1. Launch the AV Capture desktop app.
  2. Select (i.e. single-click) the desired session in the Browse Sessions window.
  3. Click the View Online button in the toolbar.  This will open your default web browser to the session web page.  The web URL includes the access token.
  4. Copy the URL (top of web browser).
  5. Paste the URL into an email.  The recipient of the email will now have access to the private session for the next 24 hours.

via Meeting Management portal:

  1. Login to the online Meeting Management portal.
  2. Find the desired session and click the hyperlinked Session Title.  This will open the session web page in a new browser tab.  The web URL includes the access token.
  3. Copy the URL (top of web browser).
  4. Paste the URL into an email.  The recipient of the email will now have access to the private session for the next 24 hours.

via Private Media portal:

  1. Login to the online Private Media portal.

Alternatively, if a session was mistakenly marked as Private, use the Edit feature to make it publicly accessible.
